Jukka Myllys

Jukka Myllys, euphonium, has worked as assistant conductor of the Pohja Military Band and currently plays trombone with the Oulu Symphony Orchestra. He has taken part in many tuba and euphonium festivals including appearances at numerous ITEC Conferences, the Falcone Festival, and the US Army Band Tuba Euphonium Conference. He graduated as a Master of Music from the Sibelius Academy, has performed as a soloist with several symphony orchestras and wind bands, recorded, and given solo recitals in Europe and the United States. The Lieksa Brass Week named him the 1994 Brass Player of the Year. He will serve on the juding panel for the International Euphonium Competition as part of Lieska Brass Week 2004.
