Christopher Buckley is currently a Doctoral student at The University of North Texas where he studies with Dr. Brian Bowman. He currently plays in the University of North Texas Wind Symphony and several jazz bands. He recently obtained his Master's degree in Performance from UNT in May, 2005 and obtained a bachelor's degree in Music Education from West Texas A&M University in December, 2002.

While at WTAMU he was a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi/Tau Beta Sigma National Intercollegiate Band in 2001. He was a member of the 2002 ITEC World Honors Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble and won the WTAMU Concerto Competition in 2003. In 2003 he was a semi-finalist at the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium Artist Competition and then returned in 2005 and won third place. He also won second place at the Potomac Tuba and Euphonium Solo Competition in 2005 at George Mason University.
