It is really neat that we will be releasing our 2nd Newsletter in a day or two. Lots of really neat stuff happening. I was not able to finalize all the upcoming activities and opportunities for people interested in the euphonium, but I think that things are moving along fast enough, so I will send out the info on the website enhancements and upgrades.
The other neat news involves that I came across a reading of the Golden Age Suite by Shostakovich that I recorded with the Seattle Symphony way back in Sept 2005. It was a trip to play Don Quixote and we had a recording session, so Maestro Schwartz opted to record this work since the SSO was going to have a euphonium player in town. It was great fun and my thanks to Chris Olka for invite to play. For those that don't know the piece, it goes up to a high D above high b-flat and has about two and half minutes of great feature...and then you tacet for a very long time. I suggest picking this recording up as there are not many recordings of it available.
We recently rolled out Gift Certificates and will be starting a forum on the website. I am very open to people's comments and ideas on how to enhance the site, so please let me hear from you. We are planning for a massive revamp and upgrade of the main site including some Flash in the beginning of next year.
Enjoy and thanks for reading...more later,
Adam
