Lots of Photos from New Zealand

Michael Fowler Centre Concert Hall

Not as the Maestro intended...I guess

The orchestra.

Adam assisting Paul in the studio..."I think this is where the wrong note is...in the flutes.".

This is Rangitoto Island...Goff Richards wrote a euphonium solo about it. It is published by Studio Music. A fun piece. The island is GREAT for hiking

This proves my visit!!

This Auckland. I was on the boat to Rangitoto Island

I spent some time enjoying the great scenery of New Zealand after the recording. This is on the Routeburn Trail.

I also kayaked a little. This is a self portrait.

The picture is NOT upside down. It is actually a photo I took of the Fjords on the south island using the reflection of the still water.

A silly thing to do, but it was certainly exciting. Not recommended for kids or those afraid of heights..

Such a rush, that I decided to do it again, this time backwards.

February

Adam spent two days touring with the Minot State University Brass Ensemble, AKA The Beaver Brass, giving concerts at schools in the greater Minot area. It was great fun indeed.

Relaxing afterwards...Patrick Hoffman, conductor and arranger is also in front.

March

April

Adam performed at the Annual Clemson University Music Department. He performed with both the symphonic band and orchestra. He is pictured here with Mark Spede, Director of Bands.

Adam with Mark Spede (Director of Bands, Andrew Levin (Director of Orchestras) and the Director of the Music Department.

May

Adam performed Mahler 7 with the Oregon Symphony Orchestra. He also soloed iwth the University of Oregon Tuba Euphonium Ensemble as part of a prelude concert, Mike Grose conducted.

He is pictured with Mike, Terry Lowrance (University of Idaho in Moscow), and JatTick Clark, Principal Tuba of the OSO.

Here are some photos from ITEC in Denver, CO:

Adam with Chitate Kagawa (Japan Tuba Center owner) and Brian Fredrickson (Wind Song Press owner)

A front row view of the performance with Euphoniums Unlmited. Notice how clear the conductor's beat is in the backgroud....Winston you are the greatest!!

The RNCM alumni group their teachers, Steven Mead (far left) and James Gourley (2nd from right), along with special guest, ITEC Host Kathy Branigan (thanks for a great conference).

Another view of the concert, you can see more images on the ITEA webpage at www.iteaonline.com.

Adam, Kathy, and Chitate relaxing after a tough week of playing and teaching!!

Joe Murphy, your my hero...Adam is really not that light, but Joe is very strong. Thankfully we did not decide to do the photo the other way around!!

July

After ITEC, I spent some time with Caryl Conger and her husband and of course Janet.

Rocky Mt. National Park

Caryl Conger and I

Adam and Janet with Larry Issacson, Conductor at Aspen's 4th of July Concert and he also appears on Little Buckaroos!!

Yeah baby...you never know who you will meet and Aspen at the 4th of July and here is Michael York, famous actor. His most recent appearance would be as Basel in Austin Powers!! He did tell me to behave!!

That is high. I would hate to have to play a concert this elevation!!

A nice view of a hike near the Continental Divide
